Network status / maintenance

Information about the current status of the network.


Maintenance windows

Most maintenance on ResNet is carried out during the maintenance window on Tuesday between 7 and 9 AM. This includes regular maintenance such as software updates in network equipment. Maintenance with a local but extended downtime, such as the replacement of a switch, can be scheduled on other days as well. This will be announced on the DTO website and on this page.
For the internet connectivity, ResNet depends on DUneT, the network of Delft University of Technology, and SURFnet, the National Educational and Research Network. DUneT has a maintenance window scheduled on Monday, from 6 to 8 PM, and maintenance will be announced on the DTO homepage and this page. SURFnet has a maintenance window on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 AM, and maintenance is announced in the newsgroup surfnet.snetman.

Network disruptions

ResNet and DUneT are continuously monitored. However, technical staff that can respond to problems is only available during office hours.
